Parent FAQ

What age groups are the Whiplash open to?

The Whiplash is open to any 2008 birth year Pee-Wee player.

When and where are tryouts?

There are no tryouts for the Whiplash.  Simply register your child and he/she will be evaluated based on ability level at a convenient time for the player.  A roster spot will then be offered on one of the two travel teams competing at the AAA and AA level.

NOTE: There is no evaluation fee, we are committed to finding the right place for each player. We have commitments from top 10 team players in the country, to house league players that are ready for high level travel hockey. All are welcome.

What is the level of play?

The Whiplash will have at least one AAA level team and one AA level club. Our experienced coaches will evaluate each player and build the rosters accordingly placing children at the appropriate level. Should we require a third team based on registration it will be placed based on our evaluations.

Is Lodging included in the registration fee?

No. Travel and lodging fees are not included in the Whiplash player fee.  See the fee schedule posted above.

Roster Sizes

Whiplash teams will be approximately 15 skaters and at least one goalie per team. If necessary we will create a third roster based on registration response.

What if we miss a tourney due to a family obligation/vacation?

We understand the importance of children playing other spring sports, attending school events or family functions.  However, we ask players make as full a commitment as possible particularly on tournament weekends so a competitive club for all children can be fielded on those weekends.
